Resident Rubyvil is the first run of Crosslocke, the theme being Resident Evil crossed over into a Nuzlocke run of Rising Ruby (a difficulty enhancement hack of Omega Ruby).

Setting

  • zombies are everywhere... again
  • strangely this time not a biological mutation, but instead a mutation of aura (aka the zombies can't be truly killed, only "fainted"/incapacitated before reforming)
  • everyone in hoenn's panicking and trying to undergo lockdown to try to ensure the aura apocalypse doesn't spread
    • magma (with suspicious affiliation to umbrella) abuses the zombie apocalypse to enact their plans to awaken groudon and commit genocide to rule
  • kao has the worst timing ever being in a moving truck going to hoenn
  • league challenge is still happening, just added upon/tweaked for the zombie circumstances to also be a test of strength to judge if civilians are strong enough to safely traverse infected routes between safezone towns
